    X-rays, exams, and fluoride treatments are important parts of dental care. X-rays find hidden problems, exams check the health of teeth and gums, and fluoride treatments strengthen enamel to help prevent cavities and future decay.

    Routine dental cleaning (Prophy)

    A prophy (dental prophylaxis) is a routine, preventive dental cleaning to remove plaque, tartar and stains from teeth. It is recommended every 6 months for patients with healthy gums to prevent periodontal disease, cavities and tooth loss.

    Deep cleaning (Scaling and Root planing)

    Deep cleaning, also called scaling and root planing, is a non surgical dental procedure to treat gum disease by removing plaque and tartar (also called calculus) above and below the gum lines and smoothing tooth roots to help gums reattach.

    Root canals

    A root canal is a dental procedure that removes infected or inflamed pulp (nerves), blood vessels, and connective tissue from inside a tooth. Root canals are typically required when the pulp becomes infected due to deep cavities, crack, and trauma.
